Damn.. its been a year..

Yes, it has been more then a year since I posted anything here. I wonder what have I been doing. For one, my 2nd kid is now 7months old. This is most probably why I have been away. He is pretty much a few hands FULL.

With the arrival of my 2nd kid, I decided to get a car. And have been driving since April. It was a good deal. I was actually looking into gettin a car since I had my 1st Kid, but I held it off cimply because taking a cab is just easier. But After the 2nd kid came, Taking double cabs for family outings is just getting really irritating. Furthermore, the number of CABs have increase in Sinapaore, but the "style" might I mention of the way they operate is just not helping. Cabs are here to provide a service. If this service gives me an option of not needing a car. I would not have bought a car. I remembered waiting for a cab for like 30mins + in town area after 7pm. And just stopping 1 cab is hard enough. looking for a 2nd cab was just totally "gay"!. In the end I send the family in a cab and took a bus myself....

It is funny how our local government stress so much of having bigger families and not buying cars in their day in day out campaign but you see all the things that they are doing do not quite add up.

example:
-a five room flat is now defined to be 110meters Sq. smaller then some 4 rooms I know of.
-90% of the cabs in Singapore can only git 4 adults.-_-"""
-Utitlies charges increases by 9% recently. Not to mention the regular changes periodcally.
-Milk prices have increased.
-GST/VAT charges is increased from 5% to 7%.
-The appoval of NETS/SWITCH(similiar in UK) charges for merchandisers up from 0.35 and 0.55% of purchases incrased to 1.5 to 1.8% of purchases.

Their only action to increase child birth are these:
- baby bonus for new born S$3000 each to be paid in installments half yearly.
- Income tax rebate of S$10~20k
- Child acc. every $ you deposits earns you S$1 for a max of S$6k. To be used on education and other direct child expenses.

My take is.. throw all the bonus away and stop all the hikes in charges and prices for our daily necessities!

this has not been a good year.
and This morning is even worst.... left my wife for work on the wrong foot.
com'on.. its Friday!

The MONEY Cup...2006

The World Cup is no longer matched between nations in the soccer field, but a period of 6 weeks where money flies around from punters to bookies and vice versa. And on top of that the WEALTH of the nation takes top priority (of-couse the hosting country has "advantge")

I have always been a Brazil fan. Not because they have the most number of wins in the world cup, but because of the style of soccer that they play. Their sambal soccer is world famous. Those "dacing" like moves that keep their opponent hypnotised and all of a sudden they are passed you and ... GOAL!!!

Well the fact is I have no proof but from what I can see how else can you explain it? As long as Brazil is in Europe, their % of winning will be close to zero. Loosing to France is just a WC'98 cover up. My take is Germany will win....

yeah!!!! the Strong Germans!!! Home ground advantage and all that bull crap that people will tell you. I really wished that the World Cup can REALLY be a stage where nations match up nations without this bull crap.

Placing my bets on Germany ... Let's see if I am correct :D

Welcome to the WORLD of Globalization :D The saddest thing is to see England loose. No that I am a soccer Fanatic or anything.. I did not even get to finish watch any of the match for this WC2006 hahahah maybe just 1 match up to the quater Finals... hahahahaha... And I placed my bets all on the nation's wealth + some soccer stats rather then sole on their player's ability.

Welcome to MoneyCup 2006 :D

DAMN!... i stand corrected.. it is a bookie's world....

"Molding" Singapore.... what more can be done?

Singapore have so far been molded ...... into what you see around you today. Compared to many other countries we are still a very young country. And I believe there is more to be done before we can truly say we are fully developed. The thing is this, we can be considered a developed country in many many ways. Just look at our infrastructure.... absolutely stunning for a country of our size. Look at our buildings, the banks, our Business District.... sky scrapping for both Commercial and Residential Buildings. Singapore is after all a very small country, so the sky is the way to go.

BUT....if you look around us in industrial areas, electronic electrical areas... we are not quite there... Why not?..some might ask. Well how many Singapore origin stuff are there in your household? We do not have space to promote large scale agriculture to provide for all but other then thatwe really do not have anything. The only real international BRAND with the technology on a true global scale is CREATIVE. Yes, the people who brought you sound for your PCs. No matter how bad quality their products have been (all made in china) They ARE successful! And they are chasing the ICON-nified iPOD.

The point IS... we do not really build anything..... which I am quite sad. I have been to quite a few countries Europe and for these few year S.E.A as well. Let's not talk about Europe, since that is very much a where a lot of stuff came from. Let's take a look at Asia.
- Malaysia.... simple to the fact... Proton....Yes i know it is not a very likable car but it is making waves all over. I am Particularly intringued by a segment of TopGear http://www.vrforums.com/showthread.php?t=53636
- India : TATA Cars..
- Korean .... Samsung, LG

That is the reason why the molding of modern Singapore have to start now. The planning starts HERE... and NOW. The current is not the modern Singapore. The current is the molded Singapore of yester-years. Years of dominance of hard actions and strict rules, that has forced us into this predicament. This Era where the dragon emerges and the tiger leaps. You see, in Singapore you will be jailed if you do not "apply" for a "license" to have a rally, strike, ...etc.. In many ways, I agree and disagree in this. It is true that many rallies and strikes of yester-years involved many lives, limps and destruction. Brutal force works but it is not necessary the only way to move things. But on the other hand which government body will APPPROVE of such application? Thus, such uproar has been extinct since....

Personally, I feel that we can do away with the fights and brutal actions. And that is here... on the net. I am pretty confident the only way Singapore is ever going to get a real TRUE voices out is a rally on the net... sad isn't it? But if it works, what the hack.

I suppose one of the reasons for blogging and the reason why blogging is so popular in Singapore is because of this...

Both sides of the coin....

I hate being a librian. I am not sure if these horoscope thingy are true but I for one being a librian is really feeling the irritating-ness of being one. I cannot stop balancing and weighing situations/problems/issues/projects... everything lah. I have been constantly trying to be more decisive. Making very objective orientated decisions and into a more direct approach. But I still into situations which I just do not know what so be.

There is one thing that I do know, and that is for all the decisions that I make I am the one responsible. As long as I am willing to take the "blame" I will just do it. Is this a sign of being responsible or irrisponsible? I hate to be responsible of things that are out of my control but the more you hate them the more it comes. Should I just sit back and let go of the "grip" or should i go one....(see what I mean). Even when wrting this blog, I have all these stuff mixed up in my head ... the YES and No, the DOs and DON'T...I believe the time is not right yet. And I do hope the time do not come so often. Because I know it myself that IF I do cross the line. There is no turning back. I do not like being a violent person but if violence is required... let it RIP!.

..... always see both sides of the coin???

History ...will it repeat?

Well, after years of history..... we see things repeating itself. It is like a cycle. Countries goes to war... peace ..war..peace.. etc. Singapore is reaching a stage where the new generation is begining. New leaders have been estalished but how long can it last? I am sure a lot of people have been asking...

Singapore have slowly been dominated by a single Power house ... the People's Action Party aka PAP. They have done an excellent job with a few controversial actions but nothing "inhumane" (well I place them under " " because it is really very relative). We promote a place to be JUST and "corruption-free" but how much is that below the surface? Is there really such a thing? Well, I believe Singapoe has done it to a certain extend to be considered? But all this is running a country like a business, where strict rules stand with punishment/s haste.

I do not believe a country should be run like a BUSINESS, but it works. Our finances are very healthy. Singapore is a small island and with only 1 resource, the Super kiasu (means scared of loosing mentality) Singaporean. Why kia-su? If you see how things are done in Singapore you would understand. A bonus in some areas will lead to an increase in other areas... e.g. lower income tax..... increase in utility charges. There is never a case of a real bonus. Very mechanical and very business like and it just gives you the CANNOT LOOSE feel of what is happening around us. The Ministers are paid highly, compared to other countries. I believe our Prime Minister's Pay is said to be much higher then the U.S president. But of-course that is the surface, the U.S president get more in other extend. They say this high pay will and IS maintaining Singapore "corruption-free". But if the pay is so high to the extend that it becomes "daylight corruption" then what is it to be said???

A lot of people have crticised our country of being "daylight corruption" but looking at the recent financial reports of the various countries, you just have to give it to Singapore. We have manage to stay +VE for many donkey years. This just give relief to the citizens.. or does it not??? I am not Magum PI or analysis, I am just a working class norm Singaporean. Where we "accept" the pushed down lower wages (do you know Singapore Professionals be it IT, Eng, Banking are one of the lowest paid ones?) to let MNC continue to support us here. Can we do without these MNCs? Well we do not have a lot of entrepreneurs in Singapore. That is why LATELY the government have been pushing this "idea" into us. It IS a good thing but the system do not make it favourable to us. MNCs have it easy with their BACKUPs but we have to fight with these MONSTER for a piece of the pie. Bottomline is, how do we fight when we are the ones that hve been hdicapped by the system?

The system is too rich. too selfish.. too narrow... too tight ....too unforgiving.

So I hope .... HOPE... this word should be banned. *laughs*. That things get better. Those Singaporean that left Singapore to other countires are NAMED quitters, well to me they are quitters to be a slave of the countries. Reverting what J.F Kenndy... This time it is "We have done so much for the country .. just by accepting all the rules and restictions and ...etc...now what can the country do for us?"....*lol*

The New generation brings hope....as the minority "action" parties diminish. It is the ineveitable that PAP will hold (actually already) FULL control. Like what history have shown us... Once the party gets big, it will soon crack and this will lead to a real new generation of political actions within PAP. Upon this happening there will no longer be different political parties but more of what should we work towards to. Let's see if History repeats...

Topic of the Month... DEC 2005

If you have a choice of having

Option 1
Having S$10 million dollars to have personally.

Option 2
Getting a cure for 1 critical disease which you have no monetary gain
what so ever...

Which would you choose?

Discussion link... http://www.vrforums.com/showthread.php?t=49646

The world around us...

We really live in a shitty world. Where giant monster company just want our money cent after cent. Countries are controlled by "mobs", "mafias" and "yakuza/s".

Case 1... the Gulf war...
All because of Protecting peace.... with WAR?
No, it is all about money.... black money... oil...
One of the reasons why non Fossil fuel energy technology is lagging is due to the fact that the Fossil fuel industry is just too big. Countries are at stake.. rather Companies SIZED like Countries..

Not to mention the ARMs deals that happen after... After spending billions in their military tech, there MUST be a place to get back the returns right??? There are many more issues when Fossil fuel is involved. Global warming... etc.. ALl these mambo jumbo is all covered up. No matter how many Hollywood flicks with "End of the World" storyline. Nothing serious is done. NOTHING. BUT U.S can spend billions on this WAR.

But why the emphasis on U.S? With their size, the amount of fuel they use and junk they reproduce it is not with no reasons. So how much is U.S spending on the environment?... Compare it to their OTHER SPENDINGS...I guess it is just another "PEANUT".

Case 2 ... The food WAR
Most have watched Super Sized ME...All it takes is 30 days on a TOTAL MacDonald's Diet with no exercise and you get Liver damage. And there is now a law in US making sure Fast Food chain do not get sued for diet issues. The choices for lunch in US schools are crazy. There is more Sugar and oil... basically bad food from Big Food Companies. But come to think of it... our local diet is not exactly very healthy. But I am sure a lot of Singaporeans eat out and almost 3 meals to 4 meals a day. But we do not see the extend of what is happening in US. Basically the BIG companies have a "CLEAN" front with nice environment and playground for kids.

This is a total mind sweep for kids ..... Where in the world does a kid have a strong enough Mind Power/discipline to not be sucked into this kind of brain wash?????? Luckily, we do not have Ronald "Char Kway Teow"...picture this.. Ronald Mac'D with Char Kway Tiao as the hair instead of the red hair.. *laughs*....

So what is happening in the US is this..... TOTAL FAT brain wash...with TOTAL Diet suppliments "RELIEF". I believe all the Diet pills have a share with The BIG FAT BOYS.... (Coke, Nestle....etc.)

Case 3 ... The Tech WAR.
I believe most people will know Intel for the average consumer. Intel have been labelled by many of a strong hold on this market for YEARS!!!. Super Marketing and pushing of their "obsolete" processors. Well they are not exactly obsolete but more of not really efficient. With strong marketing, Price and distribution control..
there is little their competitor/s can do until recently. AMD is now gaining more ground. With their Athlon64 (64bit CPUs) they are definitely in the right track. But can they keep up.

Anyway this is a just the small war that you see but how thus these hurt us? Both Intel and AMD together with the distributors are the best TEAM COMBO to date. Controlling prices, supplies and launches... this is ridiculous. The CPU trading is such a bad trade that it is considered a "DIRTY" product... reason???? There are too much "hidden" activities and transactions that favors either the producers and Distributors that will make TT Durai a real "PEANUT".

I must apologise for the constant use of the word "PEANUT" but the NKF thing is just getting to everyone's nerves.

Food for Thought.....
The richest person that is based in Singapore is not a Singaporean.
The richest Singaporean based in Singapore is a "Civil Servant"

How true is the above 2 sentences...I do not know. Fact or Fiction I leave it up
to you. I just heard it somewhere over at some "Kopi Tiam" (Coffee shop)

Truth hurts..... Truth saves...

I am sure many a times we are "forced" into saying some white lies. And in this time and age....with all that is happening around us, at times it cannot be help to be a little sensitive and over react over the smallest of issue. That is why most of the time a white lie is better then days of explaination.

But I respect the fact that no matter what the outcome.. be it bad or worst there are still people who still believe in telling the truth. Actually, I really enjoy telling the truth in any situation. The reason is simple, because 1 lie will tend to lead to another and at the end you are lost in yourself. I see no need to decieve in MOST situations, especially around the people that you truly care and love.

When you are lost and see no where out of a tight situation, the best option is always to go towards the truth. Opening yourself up might prove to be the best defense. Some people can also find true LOVE within their own TRUTH. But to be able to go toward this path is not an easy task. You must be able to face the "music" but rest assure that the "music" will be just and timely.

People should take all comments and truth into considerations and not jump all out like a bungee when hearing something which is of the truth. Does it really hurts? I am sure it does but the gain you will get from it will surely supercede the hurt....Believe in yourself and open your mind.

The truth hurts.. but the lie kills.

Cheers!

Topic of the month...

Ok will come up with a topic as and when I can think of something interesting. Will try to come up with one every week, but I believe every month should be good for a start.

!!!Let's start!!!

Scenario A
If you had a choice of meeting the perfect gal in for your life for you.....but you might have to suffer quite a bit in the beginning. And after you get the gal (in this case is THE perfect gal for you), but there is no guarantee that later in life you would be successful but you know that the gal will be by your side until the end.

ADD:

For the FEMALES scenario FA
If you had a choice at a age of 24~25 be it if you had dated a few men or just meeting
and dating the first time in your life... if at this age you meet a person who is your perfect
partner but there is only 1 flaw... his wealth is unknown.. it may be good or it maybe so
damn bad ... or it might be just in between. What would you choose?

Some might say my perfect men will not be poor. But for this case... the perfect mean you
will be happy with him even if he is poor... the thing is.. the wealth part is totally unknown.

or

Scenario B
Would you rather have a successful career and forgo meeting and getting together with your dream partner in life? Because you believe once you are THERE getting a relatively good gal is easy.

For the FEMALES scenario FB
You do not meet your perfect partner.. but you will have enough wealth to
be as comfortable as you would like (but not be able to find your true love).
The partner might be the 2nd best or 3rd best partner.. or even the worst..
and your relationship will be totally unknown..it might be good but not the best.
or it might be a partner from hell....

What say you?....... please give your reasons

Holding Hands.....

For the longest of time i keep thinking back on the days of courtship, how actually 2 person REALLY get together (well not long actually I HAVE only been married 3 years) ? The typical line of " Ai cho STEADY mai?" have been (I believe) the most usual, upfront, no-holds barred way of "confirmng" a relationship.

In Japan, like what you see in a lot of those Jap Serial. It is true that the guy/gal confess their liking/love to the other party by asking " Would you like to "interact" with me?" The "interact" here means to have a steady relationship (and in short like what they say in Singapore "Steady"). Well in the western context, this is just totally ridiculus and outright corny statment. If you like someone, just ask them out for a date and see how it goes from there. But usually the truth is after the first date you will probably know if you want to continue seeing this person. And many a times, you cannot even get the first date. Why? Because there is just too many "build-in" filters in Singapore's narrow mind. Scarring Singapore again? not really. Let me ask this question:-

Q: How many of you actually feels "Ai cho STEADY mai?" is a really lame uncouth way of asking someone to have a relationship with you?

Well I do agree it is not the most smooth line and might be even be uncouth, but the fact is this. IT IS just a line that sounds uncouth. But the message is still there. It really all depends on how sincere and how serious the person is about the relationship with the person he is saying this line to.

So being in a "STEADY" relationship will in the Japanese context usually means to go out on a regular basis and getting to know each other better. It might or might not work out. But during this period going out with more than 1 party will mean that you are not serious and should not be in this kind of "STATUS". And without THIS level of commitment the relationship is doomed with flaws. Being more conservative....(I mean the JAPs).. the "couple" when in this "relationship" have various obligations to each other. This really all depends on how open you let people know of this relationship. The more stable the relationship, the more open the parties are willing to let the people around them know. I find it quite cute actually. Some of these relationship do not even last that far where the couple hold hands.

Seriously.... not many people think much of holding hands. But if you can seriously remember the time when your heart was pounding, your hand were teakin and your eyes dilating just moments you "5", "4", "3", "2"...touch... and start holding hands with the person who you are totally in love with. That soft smooth skin of that those little hands and delicate fingers... or that firm big hands with the rough firm skin and well build fingers. And the first long stroll you take with her/him holding hands...

No matter how firm, confident or/and experienced a person you are, if the person that you are with IS the person you truely love. You will never fail to know this tinkling when it comes...It is such an Adrenaline rush that some people are so addicted to it that when they so not feel this tinkle sensation they feel that someting is missing or the love is lost in a relationship. But the fact is you will feel it.. some last longer, some shorter. Of-course how you make this sensation grow is totally up to you(s). Many might know the word CHERISH but how many really do?

Holding hands is simple to do but how you chrish it is another.
Tinkle and Twinkle this sensation grows with warmth that fill each other.
I want to hold this hand of yours and hold it tight as long as you let me
Till the day that we can't stand each other, I believe love will still be
forever.

hahahahahahaha...mushy mushy mushy... hahahaha..

PoisonLady... blog closed..

I heard from a friend that she just closed her blog...

I am a bit sad, because I really admire her courage and the way she handles most things. I swear she is so exposed in her blog. What you read is her.. you can tell she hardly tries to hide anything.

There are many bloggers in Singapore... famous ones. but not all are that open like her. Some people had asked me if I am attracted to the Ah Lian type fo gal that she is. All I can say is be it Lian or Huay.... as long as the character is good I will like :D. Girls really do not need a very beautiful face ....All you need is to know how to groom yourself and carry yourself well...

But a Beautiful face with a charcter from hell would be deem worthless to me.
It is like having a Ferrari... The car is excellent. But if the Driver is not
up to it...the Ferrari will still not out ran a Picanto. :D

So SALUTE to you PoisonLady...All the best!

....wols.... another attempt

Well, I heard about friendster quite sometime ago and was as usual curious. So my 1st attempt in Signing Up was.... un-successfull .. There are just too many stuff to fill up and damn! its irritating. Ok.. Finally after a few attempts, I finally got it going. So the first few friend that I had in the list were the people that were around me then..added.. done.

So today I just happen to just try it out again and see who I can find online.. the One person that I was hunting was no where to be found. Just a very old friend back in my Secondary School years. He is such a nice lad that I just had to serach him up. He is 1 year my senior and at the back of my head I used to think I poison him more than he poison me... well, he is catholic.. he was uptight when we first met....mmmm let me put it this way... he is the type that goes for confession when he gets an erection.. hahahahaha.. Not really lah, heis just super nice. I remember him going out with this gal and holding hands were like so special to him. that is how sweet he is. Oh... one more thing, he has a mother from hell... very strict with him and that bothered me alot. I am always trying to lead him away. Those were the good old days... many memories flashes throught my mind while I am writing this and it just bring a smile on my face. I am so grateful for all the wonderful years that I had in during my childhood years. Well I hope I get intouch with you again...

ok back to Friendster...if you read the friendster profile of each individual, you will be surprised how much you can read from it. Some are very ON... full profile and stuff.. and some are just no frills. Some have really chatty friends and some are just sad. I wonder what will I venture to next? I have always like what the net have to offer but as usual too lazy to get "involved".

My next attempt AGAIN is to geet into Networking..this time truely understanding them and maybe get my website going....But as usual you will probably see them done only like months after.. so much to do..life is good.

I wanna thank all that have made my life such a wonderful one... may all of you have a even better one..Life is short.. appreciate it.

..... later bOoEsT!

To my Surprise..... (my pram hunt)

I have been hunting around for a Baby Pram for me princess and was (No.1) Surprised!... knn Pram can vary in Prices.. from S$100-ish to S$1000 knn.. WTF?And to think they would only use it for like less than 2 years PLUS not used very often.

I hunt around and ask around and basically the places I found out ARE:
- Robinson
the lastest range is there. and also the $$$$ ones. but it was a pain to go there this festive season plus the lady there is not very friendly. I had always have good service in Robinson but maybe its because my wife and myself have been there looking for like 3 ocassions liaoz..

we "confirm" on one model from Aprica knn S$399... then they say have to take from BASEMENT.. took a very long time..... my wife and myself.. wait damn long and baby also getting irritated... so... we left....

- OG
Walked over to OG..... damn shiok... not crowded. But (No.2) surprisingly they have very good collection og stuff... I mean not only Baby Pram but in general the Orchard outlet seems carry more teandy stuff...And the staff there are really friendly...

the PRAMs there not like Robinson... not so many HI-end ones..found that the brand COMBI(japan design byt made in China) is very light and LUCKYBABY from Korea) is better made but heavier. One LUCKYBABY MODEL caught my eye.. but they have no stock. only a display model... so we sianz half again..

- Babay HyperMart @ Kaki BukitAve 1, 69 Shun Li industrial Park.
yesterday... knn whole day thinking of the PRAM.. so after work.. forced my wife to go with me look for PRAM... we took a quick dinner, grab my princess and we are off.... the cab took us right to the door step...the place was easily spotted to my surprise...

was thinking that there should be more models for us to see to get a suitable one for us. but apparently they carry mostly Eurpean models..slightly bigger and also much heavier.... KLKK and was not very excited about any models there.

there is another shop a few house down..called BabyKingdom... but after the Hypermart experience we just cannot be bothered with such places again. But I must say the hyperMart have a very good collection of items.. the PRAM are good but it is just me.. they have a very good collection of car seat and baby Cot and... too many to name.. and prices are very reasonable... it is good if you are begining to shop for stuff... it is a one stop store..POWER

and they open till 9pm... with enough staff to help/...
very good service.....I will return only if i have a car......

as mentioned it is located in an industrial estate.. so...CAB was a bit of a pain..
the empty ones were always ont he other side of the road. bummer!
... we deciede to cross the bridge to get a cab. but when I was still waiting for a cab on my side, I heard 2 kids... "zoot zoot" for my attention on the opposite block of HDB flats.. I kn wait boh cab see bay toos lanz already stil got funny people "zoot zoot"...

While we were crossing the bridge I saw the same to kids walking across the bridge.... knn I was about to slap them liaoz... but Surprise (No.3) again!!!
They came up to me and told me they zoot for my attention to tell me that
there are rarely empty cab on my side of the road.. and ask me to goto the other street but we had to walk a bit..... knn i was damn taken back... THERE IS HOPE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION!!! :D Thanks again guys!

- Bugis (Seiyu)
while waiting for the cab which came finally in a shor 5mins wait on the other side.. We decided to go Bugis (Seiyu) for a look. My wife have been there for a look before here delivery and found that the collection is pretty okie. So off we went.

After looking at so many designs we roughly had a idea what we want... it was to choose either
- Light weight one
- Sturdy one which would be heavier.

the final 2 models were
- Brand COMBI... very light very spacious, 1-hand operation, big wheels, stand upon closing and reversable pushing direction. S$198
- Brand LcukyBaby... it has all the stuff we had asked for.. only that it is slightly heavier.. but a lot sturdier compared to the COMBI. S$249

make a guess which one we bought.... :D

Surprised one more time!! :D (No.4)
the PRAM @ Seiyu were all chained up...(not the surprise yet) So we aksed for some assistance from the lady over there..(IIRC her name is jennifer..have to confirm again) We asked to see the PRAM in other colour and to test it (lucky this festive season Seiyu opens till 10.30pm :D)So Jennifer (not very tall) dragged the brand new Pram still in the Box out... very pai seh... she did this for us for 2 models that we had requested. She was very helpful and informed us on the weight and even told us which model is customers buying more... I am totally taken back again... 2 time fo such surprises is just too overwhelming..

I would like to thank all that have helped to me our hunt such an interesting one.
May you are blessed with the same for what you have done....

Cheers!

Just another day

It has been some time since I had time to spend with my wife. So I took the day off and spend some time with her. But we did had to bring my Princess to the doctors for her jab before this. My mum was all so kind(as usual) to look after Princess bOoeSt for the afternoon. So it was just before noon before we left and head off to orchard... that was yesterday.

We took a cab down to Show Centre where the first stop.. MNG.. She got 2 Ts, but is was like after quite a long while before she finally went to the cashier...*sigh*.. another credit card torture .. :( but hey she has not buy anything since... *no question asked.. just pay*

We hop over to TANGS... after the much needed Facelift we were pretty pleased with the new look that Tangs had. And I saw a few local celebs there as well. One being Dick Lee and the other being Belinda...yes the MTV gal and not host of that funny show with that gimmpy presenter. anyway, not very into them ... in TANGS there me wife can really take her time. walking all over. I told her that I will go to the TECH bay and have a look... so off I went.

@ TECH BAY..
the new arrangement was a good one. all the tech stuff on one side with a Bar counter just beside it....:-D Played a bit of Xbox and went off looking for me wife. she was busy in Island Shop and I helped her pick up some stuff to try. I took some of her confirmed items with me (freeing her of her much needed hands for more shopping) aand off i went to the tech bay again...to the bar actually

I swear nothing feels better than having a beer @ 12.30pm..:d in a shopping mall on a Wednesday Afternoon YEAH!!!! She caught up with me at the bar and gave me a cheeky smile... :] what to do.. I was enjoying myself as much as I can :D

I picked up 2 small handy swiss army "pen" knife to replace my really old one. The other was for my bro... it has been a long time since i got him anything and he did help me a lot for the pass year .... Cheerio to Mitch :D

We the hop over to taka for lunch.. it was a pathetic one.. the blardy Crystal Jade La Mian forgot my Wife's noodles but we did order some other side dishes so.. we left without her noodles...... after which we were wondering about taka and looking at baby stuff... but figured out she has already have enough to last there this period.. so off we went to paragon.

All this time I notice something very interesting.. and I asked my wife.
"Dear.... I just notice something.... Do you find that a lot of gals are wearing less??? and the fact that they need not be extremely pretty people still notice them.. just because of their skimppy attire.."

She totally agreed with me.... again today (acutally for the pass week) this just sudenly occur to me and maybe i am WOLS but the fact is .. Youngster nowadays are more daring to bare and this make them more attractive..??????

FACT:
you need not me super pretty..... but you cannot be super ugly.
just wear less and you'll get the attention you seek....

p.s I wonder how my daughter will be like next time :-D

The future challenges awaits as my little princess ventures into this vicious world..... may God bless all the babies in this world... I a Salute to ALL MOTHERS!

Ancient Disease

Ancient Disease

Well recently, a friend of mine just got married (or rather Registered ...aka married in the eyes of the law)Singapore is a place where people will choose a good and auspicious date for their marriage but because of the hassle they will REGISTER first. Thus on the actual day.. there are some Traditional "ritual" that needs to be carried out. This is pretty standard for all races... may it be Chinese, Malay, Indians..etc.. and I am sure a lot of the Western people that get married also go such. It was the usual, the signing of the papers was carried out in Fort Canning where the R.O.M (Register of Marriage) is located. And then followed by a luncheon.

It was a Weekday thus only the close friends were there for the A.M session. The long luncheon ended at 3pm in which we all went home and have a good afternoon nap (with a Full stomach.... YEAH!!!). In the evening we ended up at Haku Bar (it belongs to one of our friend along Telok Kurau) And it was cool since the place have a 2nd floor which we had to ourselves and a pool table to add. There was a ad-hoc KTV but the sound was not very good. so many spent talking rather than rage the KTV with their roars :D... The pool table was also hogged by some regular and also long time friends.... they were good so those gals that wanted to play was a bit intimidated...rather piss-ed i suppose... all well no harm done anyway. And the groom soon wondered off to get some lovely Pau from Joo Chiat Area..... anyway wanna sell them at their Kopitiam let me know :D

The groom also my long time friend.. known him half my life.. was not feeling too well for the pass few days. Having Feverish conditions and this just totally sucked for him... I left for home as it was pretty late and went o bed. The weekend and I got a call from the Groom that he had contracted Dengue Fever... WTF!?!?!?!? So off he went to Mount Alvernia (nearest Hospital as advised from the GP) DAMN! the medical fees were Hefty...I believe it was just below S$3k for alike 3~4 days stay. and a CRIB (Complete Rest In Bed) written onto the whiteboard next to his bed.

Apparently if he were to have any injury and bleed.. it would not have stopped. Well his blood platelet count was dropping like crazy. Hitting a bottom low of 10K (normal is 150~180k)... so all in all.. it is fatal.

To find out more there is a link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dengue_Fever_(tropical_disease)

In this link......I quote
"Dengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) are acute febrile diseases, found in the tropics, with a geographical spread similar to malaria. Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur. Dengue is transmitted to humans by the mosquito Aedes aegypti (rarely Aedes albopictus)."

After reading this... basket... such an Ancient Disease and there is still no CURE... same goes for Malaria.. and many more Disease that are fatal. Yet we now look at Cancer, HIV..etc. No wonder we still have not found the answer to so many Disease..... Well, life is like this as usual you do not think about it untill it hits you straight in the FACE.

All I can say is I will not be surprised if we all become extinct from a very Ancient Disease....Anyway I have come to the conclusion that I need to not write my blog at meal times... I am hungry again hahahaha.. I seem to be ending my blog hungry :D

Later...:D
